Ossos

     The name supposedly derives from one of the two most frequent versions of its history. Some say that it refers to whale bones which were buried or found on the beach, while another other version is that Portuguese soldiers committed a massacre of other troops settled in the area and the name refers to the bones of the victims which eventually ended up on the beach.
